  1. Apr 19, 2014  I'm here today starting a new series where I will be reviewing Mac Apps, the first one for this series is a relatively new one called DaisyDisk. DaisyDisk searches folders or drives you want.
  2. DaisyDisk comes in two flavors: Mac App Store and standalone edition (available from our website). The standalone edition is not sandboxed (it uses Developer ID signature instead), allows you to scan disks as administrator, delete stuck files and reveal “hidden” disk space.
  3. If you wish to migrate from the Mac App Store to the stand-alone edition, simply download the stand-alone app. It will detect your Mac App Store purchase and work without requiring a key. Alternatively, you can send your purchase receipt or a screenshot of your App Store’s Purchased tab with DaisyDisk visible to support@daisydiskapp.com and we’ll send you back the key.
  4. No wonder DaisyDisk 2 is featured in the Best of Mac App Store 2011 category of the Mac App Store and is a runner up in TUAW Best of 2011, the best Mac utility app vote. Not to mention lots of positive reviews and, most importantly, our users’ satisfaction.
  5. DaisyDisk is a disk space analyzer, chosen by Apple as a Mac App Store 'essential.' It features a cleaner, user friendly, interactive interface that allows you to visualize your Mac's hard drive, choose which files and folders are essential, and delete the ones that are taking up needed space on your hard drive.

Sep 10, 2015  Nowadays, DaisyDisk is the best-selling disk space analyzer in the Mac App Store. Apple called DaisyDisk the best utility app of the Mac App Store twice in 2013 and in 2011, and featured it in their various editorial collections. There have been about 400 reviews in all Mac.

Why having two editions?

Mac App Store submission guidelines have certain requirements for what an app can and can’t do. Vocoder vst mac download. One of such requirements is inability to operate in privileged mode.

While being generally useful (as it prevents some apps from damaging your system) this requirement may influence functionality of applications that need low-level system access. In order to comply with these rules we’ve removed a few features from the Mac App Store edition of DaisyDisk.
